Chenin Blanc , Roussanne, Viognier, Clairette Blanche and Sémillon come together, from twelve different vineyards up to 50 years old, to form one of the Swartland's finest white blends.
From 12 vineyards and five varieties - Chenin with Roussanne, Clairette, Viognier and Semillon - this comes mostly from granite soils and is like a distillation of the Paardeberg. Leesy, smoky and flinty, with notes of oatmeal, stone fruit and vanilla spice, it's wonderfully assured and light on its feet. 2018-24

Matthew's debut release of this wine was nothing short of sensational and we're delighted that he's followed it up with another superb Chardonnay. In his trademark style, the oak is used superlatively in full harmony with the great fruit that Matthew has managed to source. Built to age but so, so approachable in its youth, we just can't get enough of this wine!

Carsten Migliarina has been steadily creeping onto our radar and is joining some of our other producers in showing that Chardonnay from Stellenbosch can be exceptional. Following on from the 2014 vintage the 2015 starts with nectarine and ginger, a deft touch of oak and lingering minerality.
