Chenin Blanc , Roussanne, Viognier, Clairette Blanche and Sémillon come together, from twelve different vineyards up to 50 years old, to form one of the Swartland's finest white blends.
From 12 vineyards and five varieties - Chenin with Roussanne, Clairette, Viognier and Semillon - this comes mostly from granite soils and is like a distillation of the Paardeberg. Leesy, smoky and flinty, with notes of oatmeal, stone fruit and vanilla spice, it's wonderfully assured and light on its feet. 2018-24

Matthew's debut release of this wine was nothing short of sensational and we're delighted that he's followed it up with another superb Chardonnay. In his trademark style, the oak is used superlatively in full harmony with the great fruit that Matthew has managed to source. Built to age but so, so approachable in its youth, we just can't get enough of this wine!

Carsten Migliarina has been steadily creeping onto our radar and is joining some of our other producers in showing that Chardonnay from Elgin can be exceptional. The 2014 vintage is just starting to open up and show its potential with citrus and stone fruit flavours. There's a deft touch of oak which makes an appearance on the succulent finish. Delicious now, or hold onto some for a few years, a 2010 vintage tasted recently showed like a Premier Cru Chablis.

Carsten Migliarina has been steadily creeping onto our radar and is joining some of our other producers in showing that Chardonnay from Stellenbosch can be exceptional. Following on from the 2014 vintage the 2015 starts with nectarine and ginger, a deft touch of oak and lingering minerality.

Fruit driven style of Chenin Blanc, bright fresh and full of tropical flavours with some balancing citrus. Racy acidity gives a refreshing edge to this wine and it should mellow into a delicious crowd pleaser over the next year or 2.
75cl bottle £15.50
A journey into the combined expression of sandstone and clay soils. Sandstone provides the mineral and aromatic citrus fruit characters; while clay adds texture, depth, and riper tropical flavours in the mouth. 5% Semillon fermented in oak provides an extra creamy sensation.

Farmed organically and predominantly sourced from a single vineyard and grown in quartz and sandstone soil. With an importance placed on texture, this is a wine that is pure, finely textured Sauvignon Blanc / Semillon blend, softly oaked and with the accessibility that Sauvignon delivers. A fine example of a Bordeaux white style of wine that shows capacity for ageing.
